However, becoming an inducted member unlocks various benefits, such as:

How often does the Accounting Society hold meetings and where can I find a schedule of upcoming events?

The Accounting Society holds various events during Tuesday's & Thursday's during club hours -- 12:30pm - 2:30pm -- alongside our large-scale and philanthropic events being held on Friday's. Refreshments are served at all club meetings.

Why should I join the Baruch Accounting Society and what are membership benefits?

The Baruch Accounting Society introduces students to the various opportunities in the accounting, finance and related fields. These opportunities include internships, full-time positions, and new connections. We also host personal development workshops, events with experienced speakers, and volunteer events in support of our "Three P's" mission statement.

 

Inducted members will also have the foremost opportunity to attend events that have a limited number of attendees such as company office visits, networking events and one-on-one professional resume reviews.

What are the different leadership roles within the Accounting Society and how can I learn more about them?

There are 8 Executive Board positions (not including co-roles) that are reorganized every semester. Only inducted members may hold these positions. A detailed explanation of the leadership positions, their related tasks and the procedure to become an Executive Board member are stated in the Baruch Accounting Society Constitution. Feel free to contact any of the current officers to discuss how you can take on a larger role in the society!

How many members are in the Baruch Accounting Society and how many new members will be inducted in the upcoming semester?

The Baruch Accounting Society newsletter reaches 2,000+ members each week. There is no limit on how many students will be inducted each semester.

Additionally, our events are open to all students at Baruch so you can be sure to meet and network with students of all majors, ages, and levels of experience at our events!

Does thE Accounting Society have any social media we can use to stay updated? 

In addition to having our own official website, we have our Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Likewise, we have created a virtual club suite space on our Discord server. All our social media are linked at the bottom of every page of our website. You're welcome to join us on your platform of choice!

alumni now?

Our inducted members have obtained internships and full-time offers with Big Four accounting firms, mid-size accounting firms, large financial services firms, non-for-profits, government, and private firms. Accounting Society alumni are eager to share their experiences and advice with current students at our many events.
