Dear Accounting Society Members, 
     Hello everyone, we hope you have a wonderful 4th of July! The deadline to apply for the Rising STARR Sophomore Program (RSSP) and Passport to Partnership (P2P) Program has been extended to July 9, 2017. We strongly urge sophomores and juniors who want an early start on their career development to take advantage of these programs. If you have any social events or workshops you would like to see during the Fall 2017 semester, don't hesitate to email us at [email protected] This will be the last newsletter until the Fall 2017 semester begins.
     Once again, all of us at the Accounting Society would like to thank everyone for the amazing support this semester, especially our outstanding members from our committees. We could not have done it without your help! Our Marketing Committee, Planning Committee, and Assistant positions will be available in Fall 2017 so please keep an eye out on our newsletter. Congratulations to our newly inducted members and we hope to see you again in the fall!

Passport to Partnership (P2P) Program

P2P was created to encourage sophomores and juniors with intended Accounting majors to gain a head start in their career development while also meeting the increasing demands in the marketplace to identify and develop early leaders. This program is open to students entering their sophomore and junior years. Those qualified to apply will be graduating in 2019 or 2020, possess a minimum 3.0 GPA and be able to clearly express their interest in accounting. P2P will run from early Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. The first program may start as early as the first week of Fall 2017 classes.
Rising STARR Sophomore Program (RSSP)

RSSP was created to encourage sophomores from all majors and interests to gain a head start in their career development while also meeting the increasing demands in the marketplace to identify and develop early leaders. Students will engage in program specifically to develop their verbal/communication skills, teamwork, networking skills, time-management, and overall confidence. Those qualified to apply will be graduating in 2020 and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA. RSSP will run from early Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. All majors are welcome to apply.
